Casa Guacamayo

Casa Guacamayo is a tropical family retreat in Puerto Carrillo, a small village at the east end of Playa Carrillo. The house has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, including a private casita that gives part of the group a little more room and privacy, and it sleeps up to twelve guests.

Every bedroom has its own bathroom: two have king beds, one a queen, one two single beds and one a bunk bed, and a sofa bed in the living room adds another place to sleep. Some rooms have air conditioning, and there are ceiling fans. Outside are the covered private pool, a hammock, a barbecue area, space to eat outdoors and an outdoor shower for coming back from the beach. The kitchen has an oven, a stove, a microwave, a coffee maker and a freezer, and the property is gated, with free parking.

The east end of Playa Carrillo is about 5 to 10 minutes on foot: downhill on the way there, a short climb on the way back. A small supermarket and a few restaurants are a couple of minutes' walk from the house. Sámara town is about 7 km away, roughly 10 to 15 minutes by car or taxi and too far to walk, so a car is needed for trips into Sámara. Wildlife is plentiful around the village, and the quiet beaches of the area are close by.
