Casa Pacífica

Casa Pacífica sits on a large private property at the quiet east end of Playa Sámara, about five minutes on foot from the beach, with Playa Carrillo about ten minutes' walk the other way. Sámara town is about 4 km away — around 8 minutes by car — so plan on a car or golf cart for groceries and dinners out. Sámara Beach is widely recognized as one of the safest and most beautiful in Costa Rica, gentle enough for swimming and good for surfing as well.

The main house has four bedrooms, two of them masters, and a living area that opens to the kitchen and to a large covered terrace above the pool. Lush garden surrounds the water, and monkeys, iguanas, land crabs, red-tailed squirrels, lizards and birds pass through on their own schedule. Wall-to-wall tile, quality linens and towels, large walk-in showers; housekeeping and security are included.

Two kayaks come with the house for paddling the calm water or making the crossing to Isla Chola. Boats pick guests up right at the beach for sport fishing, turtle and dolphin tours, or a run along the coastline, and the top surf breaks are fifteen miles away. A smaller house on the property, Casita Pacífica, adds two more bedrooms with its own entrance, driveway, terrace and parking — six bedrooms in all, for up to 14 guests.
